The Odyssey OCR200 Debut Cornet is the ideal instrument for starting cornet players. Similar to professional cornets, the valves in the OCR200 are made from high-quality nickel silver which provides a smoother action compared to steel.
The Odyssey Debut cornet has everything needed to play in a brass band. The OCR200 features a 0.46'' bore and yellow brass bell which helps to produce a beautiful warm tone. On the first and third valve slides are finger rings to ensure a comfortable grip and also to make sure intonation is never an issue. Similar to professional cornets, the OCR200 uses top spring nickel silver valves to make sure they're always lightweight and responsive. Nickel silver is used for valves because it is very dense and is more resistant to corrosion, meaning they won't flake and are less likely to seize up.
The OCR200 includes everything you need to start practising straight away. The included case provides protection while also being lightweight and durable. The case features a comfortable shoulder strap to ensure easy transport between musical events. If you'd prefer to carry the case, then the strap can be removed and stored in the zipped compartments on the side of the case. The Odyssey cornet also includes a mouthpiece, so players can start to practise as soon as the cornet arrives. A maintenance care kit is also included so players can maintain the high standards of their instrument for longer.
